I encountered three of the mid-cycle refresh Genesis luxury sedans. Hyundai's current top U.S. model will get a nose job and a tummy tuck at the rear. Read about the shoot in Spied: 2012/13 Hyundai Accent/Verna, 2012 Hyundai Genesis, and Ram 1500 2-Mode Hybrid.

At first, looking at the side profile from a distance, I thought that I might have stumbled upon a refresh of the Dodge Avenger, but up close, with the Suzuki chase vehicle in the background, I realized that I had encountered the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi, its engineering teams working on their suntans in the California Desert. If you strip away the the camouflage I'm certain that you will find a production-ready version of the Accord/Camry/Fusion/Altima competitor first shown as a concept at the 2008 New York International Automobile Show. With as many as a half dozen vehicles testing, it wasn't too hard to get a clear shot. While Suzuki is expected to offer a 3.6-liter 300-horsepower DOHC V-6, with the current fuel situation, expect that the 2.5-liter, 150-horsepower four-cylinder will likely be the volume seller when it goes on sale in Japan and the US for the 2010 model year. A 2.0-liter turbodiesel will be available in many markets but don't expect to see it here. Judging by the wheels and dual exhausts conspicuous on all models we captured, we suspect that this is the V6 sports sedan version of the Kizashi. The car is reported to be about 183 inches long, slightly shorter than a Camry at 189 inches, but riding on a longer wheelbase for more interior volume. As Suzuki has had a long tradition offering station wagons as well as all-wheel drive, expect a sedan, a sport wagon, and a true crossover to round out the line up.
