I don't know about you, but I have a mental checklist I go over while I am in my car driving to the airport. Medication? Check! Underwear? Check! Camera gear? Check? Inevitably, by the time I run out of imagery, I am still left with the uneasy feeling that I have forgotten something important.

The truth is, I somehow always manage to forget something trivial. By now, you'd think I'd have a written list that I go over before I leave the house. (It would certainly ease the nervousness that unsettles my stomach until I arrive at my destination and unpack my bags.)

I've gone on business trips and forgotten my stack of business cards on the desk. I've gone to auto shows and forgotten my camera's flash card reader on the desk. I've gone on vacations, and left my toothbrush in the bathroom (haha, bet you thought I was gonna say "desk.) But somehow, within the last couple months, I managed to misplace my darling little pink iPod nano, and I only realized it was missing a few weeks ago when I went to pack it for the Detroit Auto Show.
